Testing Procedure

• For this we require 99%pure Ethyl alcohol, Distilled water.

• In order to test the Lemon grass oil, we have to dilute the Ethyl alcohol. So, take a 10 ml measuring tube and add 8ml of ethyl alcohol and 2 ml of distilled water and prepare a solution.

• After the solution is ready take a new 10ml measuring tube and place 1ml of Lemon grass oil in measuring tube and pour 3ml of solution in the same measuring tube. Shake it for 1 min and observe the end result immediately.

• If the End result is clear liquid, then there is no adulteration in the oil. But if the end result is milky white then we can confirm that the oil is adulterated. . .
